Currently you name recordings visually as per the name of the person who called you. This is not necessarily the best title. Some standard naming options might be useful such as
name, date, time
date, time
joe called tom
tom called joe

it is good to have both names in there. And who called who.

An easy answer is to prompt for the recording title as you save it.

It's a great idea!
We will accept your suggestion in our later release version.

Another idea would be to allow the user to select the default filenaming parameters.

Parameters should probably include some variation of the following:

*username* - the person on the call
*day* - day of the week call initiated
*d* and *dd* - date call initiated (regular date and two digits forced)
*m*, *mm*, and *month* - month call initiated (default, two digits forced, and the name of the month)
*yy*, and *yyyy* - year call initiated (two digit and full year)
*12hourlocal*, *24hourlocal*, *12hourGMT*, *24hourGMT*, *12hourforeign*, and *24hourforeign* - hour call initiated (in 12 and 24 hour formats with an option to determine the time based on local time, GMT, or the time in the other caller's time zone?)
*AM/PM* - returns AM or PM (possibly with the same time zone options?)
*minutelocal* *minuteGMT* and *minuteforeign* - minute call initiated (with the same time zone options for those off 30 minutes?)
*second* - second call initiated
*duration* - length of call (could be separated into distinct hour minute and second variables as above)
*incoming="foo"* and *outgoing="bar"* - returns foo for incoming calls and bar for outgoing ones
*conference="foo"* - returns foo for conference calls
*video="bar"* - returns bar for video calls
*memo* and/or *nomemo="foo"* - inserts the memo in the filename returns foo if no memo exists

(i'm sure there are other options i'm overlooking)

Setting the default filename to
*incoming="From"**outgoing="To"* *username* on *dd*-*mm*-*yyyy* at *12hourlocal*.*minutelocal*.*second**AM/PM* for *duration*

would output a file like:
From Bob on 02-02-2006 at 12.50.00AM for 15.00.pga

EDIT: of course prompting before saving could work too (and would be a hell of a lot easier to code )

Thanks for such detailed suggestion, farley87! I will forward it to our developer for evaluation. At least I am sure 'prompting before saving' will be available.
